Tuck- Hinton celebrates 100 years of women HAVING THE RIGHT TO VOTE
On August 18, 1920, Tennessee became the 36th state to ratify the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. Tennessee provided the pivotal vote necessary for the 19th Amendment to be added to the Constitution.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary, the Votes for Women room, a new permanent interactive exhibition in the Nashville Public Library, will be dedicated to sharing the story of Women’s Suffrage. Due to the global pandemic, you will have to wait to visit the room in person but you can meet some of the historic women that played an important role in securing the Vote for Women in our previously recorded virtual meeting.
Tuck-Hinton Architecture & Design is proud to have played a part in the design and we hope you will join us for the Virtual Grand Opening for the Votes for Women Room on August 18, 2020 at 11:30 cst.
