Responding to the site’s historic context, the building is constructed with mass timber, a nod to the commercial warehouses within the area that are heavy timber and load bearing masonry, but with a fresh take showing how far this renewable structure type has come through out the years. The mass timber and palette of simple, durable materials, pulls patrons in by creating a warm and inviting space with large floor to floor heights. An inviting, open stair guides people to explore the upper levels of the building.
