Blake Shelton's 'Ole Red' Coming to Lower Broadway
Ryman Hospitality has announced plans for a new Blake Shelton-themed music venue, bar, and event space located on Lower Broadway in Nashville. The venue, named Ole Red, is expected to open in early 2018. Inspired by Shelton’s 2001 song ‘Ol’ Red’, the name Ole Red also pays tribute to the Grand Ole Opry, the famous weekly radio program dedicated to honoring country music and its history. Along with Tuck-Hinton Architects, the project team includes interior design firm Anderson Design Studio and general contractor Turner Construction.
The existing building at 300 Broadway will be completely renovated to feature a stage for live performances, a mezzanine overlooking the stage and dance floor, private event space, kitchen, and a 6,500 square foot rooftop restaurant and terrace with sweeping views of Nashville’s Lower Broadway honky tonk district. Ole Red is the most recent of several Tuck-Hinton-designed venues on Lower Broadway, including the popular Acme Feed & Seed which opened in 2014.
